Windshield Chip Repair

A small chip today becomes an expensive windshield replacement tomorrow. Colorado's highways are notorious for kicked-up rocks and gravel, and a single chip can spread into a full crack with temperature changes, vibration, or even a bumpy road.

YESA Window Tinting provides quick, professional windshield chip repair across the Denver metro area — and we bring the service right to you. Our mobile repair process stops chips and small cracks from spreading, restores the structural integrity of your windshield, and is often covered by your auto insurance at no out-of-pocket cost.

Don't wait for that chip to spread. The sooner you repair it, the better the result — and the cheaper the fix.

What Can Be Repaired?

Not every chip or crack qualifies for repair — but most do if caught early:

  • Bullseye chips — Circular damage from a direct rock impact. Excellent repair candidate.
  • Star breaks — Chip with cracks radiating outward. Repairable if caught early and not too large.
  • Half-moon chips — Partial bullseye shape. Typically repairable.
  • Small cracks — Cracks under 6 inches can often be repaired, especially if they don't extend to the windshield edge.
When is replacement needed? If the damage is in the driver's direct line of sight, larger than a quarter, or has spiderweb cracking, a full replacement may be the safer option. We'll always give you an honest assessment.

Why Repair Matters in Colorado

Colorado's extreme temperature swings — from freezing nights to hot afternoons — are the enemy of an unrepaired chip. Thermal stress causes chips to crack and spread rapidly. That $50 repair today could save you a $300–500 windshield replacement next week.

Windshield Chip Repair FAQ

How long does a chip repair take?

Most repairs take 15–30 minutes. We come to your location, so the only time you spend is the repair itself.

Will my insurance cover chip repair?

Many Colorado insurance policies cover windshield chip repair with no deductible. Check with your provider or ask us — we can help you figure it out.

Can you repair cracks, or just chips?

We can repair small cracks (typically under 6 inches) in addition to chips. Longer cracks or damage near the windshield edge may require replacement.

Is the repair visible after it's done?

A quality repair significantly reduces the visibility of the damage. While it may not disappear completely, it will be much less noticeable and will not spread further.
